As a Software Performance Test Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you d rive performance testing and engineering of CTC apps and align test solutions with SRE principles and DevOps practices

Job responsibilities
  • Develops and implement performance test frameworks to verify and measure the quality of the produced software
  • Reviews performance test engineering controls and review test artefacts prior to production release
  • Integrates performance testing solution with CI/CD, release engineering, infrastructure, cloud, development, and compliance teams
  • Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies problems related to user experience, operational stability and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands on experience in Performance testing tools - JMeter and Blazemeter
  • Experience in performance monitoring with APM tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Data Dog
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Demonstrate experience working with Cloud platforms and understanding of SRE Principles
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of Agile, CI CD and DevOps methodologies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies like ReactJS
  • Exposure to observability and telemetry
